Classical Ballet
(age 5 and up)
Ballet dancers

Development of creativity, discipline and technique are an integral part of ballet training and are encouraged and explored through the many ballet classes offered from pre-primary to advance.Curriculum based on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and is complemented by internationally recognized training methods students are working towards R.A.D. examinations in a non-competitive dance school that works towards making each student a greater individual.
At higher levels ballet includes more classes per week and incorporates other forms of dance as Free Movement, Character, National, Modern, Contemporary Musical-Theatre. Classes culminate with a year-end show production with the participation of all the students.

Pre-primary (age 5)
: This class prepares students for a presentation in front of a R.A.D. examiner.
Primary (age 6):  This class includes preparation for R.A.D. examination.
Graded levels I to VIII: This classes includes 3 different components: classical, free movement and character dance.
These levels requires two classes per week as preparation for examination.
Vocational graded levels: For those seeking more challenging work towards a deeper understanding of classical ballet towards professional career. Classes include pointe work

Mom & Tot
(age 2-3)

A fun rhythmical class for all children encouraging the development of rhythm, musical movement and imagination.
Lessons incorporate fun props and instruments.
Classes are 45min and run once a week.


Pre-school Dance
(age 3-4)

Fun and joyful class that develops a wide range of movement skills. It incorporates Royal Academy of Dance syllabus to help develop creativity, discipline and concentration as a vital part of preparation for ballet training. Pre-school classes will also take part of Story Book Ballet where kids can develop their imagination and feel connection between story and dance.
Classes are 45min and runs once a week.
Girls


Pre-Modern & Rhythm Dance
(age 5-6)

Children explore and develop the different forms of  rhythms and shapes in dance. This class is designed for the younger dancer as preparation for the structural Modern/Contemporary classes in the higher levels, kids who are inroling in pre-modern & rhythm dance should be registered to primary ballet or Grade one ballet

Modern/Contemporary
(age 7 and up)


Will explore different styles and develop artistic freedom. Classes are inspired by Marce Cunningham and Marta Graham technique. Incorporating ISTD syllabus and free work. Working side by side with the classical Ballet for supporting and increase strengthening. Aspects of modern dance include use of torso, space, weight and parallel legs as well as turned out. Modern dance values a weighted use of the body in relation to the earth, dancing bare feet enable the dancers to connect directly with the floor.

Modern Junior (ages 7-9): Working on ISTD syllabus as well as free forms.
Modern Senior (ages 10 and up): This level continues to work on the ISTD syllabus as well as Marta Graham technique.


  Musical Theatre & Jazz
(ages 7 and up)

Bringing the exciting world of acting, singing and dancing to life. Classes will focus on Vocal Technique as well as bringing characterization to a song and choreography. For the dancing element, the focus is on jazz dance genre.
Classes run on the,
Junior level (ages 7-8) 
Major
level (9-11 & 12+).
Musical theatre for teens, 13+
Meaghan Schulz is the head teacher of our MT program. Holding a Bachelor of music in Voice Performance and a Musical Theater Diploma, as well as appearing in numerous productions.
Students registering in the MT program must attend ballet class regularly to maintain high technique and coordination level.


Adult Ballet
(adult)

If you are looking for an alternative way to keep healthy and toned, drop in to our Adult ballet classes.
Ballet promotes Flexibility, helps posture and body awareness, tones muscles, strengthens core stability, help to relieve stress and inspires creativity.
Separate classes are offered for beginners and for intermediate students.


Tap classes
( ages 7 and up)

          Keep those toes a tapping!
          Tap classes are teriffic for developing co-ordination and rhythm,           Tap students are encouraged to augment their training with a                 weekly ballet class.
